The Mental Health Foundation has enlarged its fundraising department to a 12-strong team following a review and a re-structure.
The charity has created two Fundraising Business Units, under ‘Individual Giving’ and ‘Partnerships’, led by Peter Jennings, the interim Director of Fundraising and Communications.
Four new permanent members of staff have already been recruited: Brian Reehl, Regular Giving Executive; Tom Palmer, Individual Giving Executive; Lesley Braden, Legacy Marketing Executive; and Helen Cook, Fundraising Assistant.
Recruitment is currently underway for the posts of Head of Individual Giving and Head of Partnerships.
The fundraising review, part of a new three-year fundraising strategy, was carried out by the Management Centre and People Business.
Peter Jennings, who was previously the Fundraising and Marketing Director at Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Deputy Chief Executive of the RNID, said: “We go into our 2010-11 financial year with a sound fundraising strategy and full of confidence that we can grow our voluntary income. We also aim to improve our overall return on investment.”
