Gift Aid – improving our take from the wealthy

Howard Lake | 12 October 2009 | Blogs

I have reproduced the Institute of Fundraising appeal below – saves time!

We are calling on all members of the Institute to join the campaign for changes to Gift Aid for higher rate taxpayers.

We need your support to ensure that the Government doesn’t delay in implementing reforms which could substantially increase income for our sector.

Great Fundraising Organizations, by Alan Clayton. Buy now.

If you are one of the 600+ people who have already added their name to the petition which states: “We, the undersigned, petition the Prime Minister to make changes to Gift Aid so that charities can more easily benefit from the full amount of tax paid on donations by higher rate tax payers” – then our sincere thanks.

But if you haven’t yet done so, then please SIGN THE PETITION right now.

Even if you, personally, have pledged your support – you could do more by getting your own charity or organisation to add this link to the petition on your website!

With over 600 signatures already, we have reached the magic number to guarantee a ‘response’ from the Government – but we don’t just want a ‘response’: we want the right result – and YOU CAN HELP US GET IT!

Thank you for your support
