Entries for Ashden Awards for sustainable energy solutions close next month

Applications for the 2010 Ashden Awards, which aim to highlight sustainable energy solutions in the UK and developing world and help ensure that they are spread more widely, close on 27 October 2010.
Applications must be based on a scheme that hass been running for at least one year, that is technically excellent and that is improving the lives of local people. Prizes of up to £10,000 are available, together with a £20,000 for the overall UK Energy Champion awarded £20,000.
Businesses, local authorities and charities were all award winners in 2009.
