Derek Humphries joins DTV as director

Direct agency DTV has recruited Derek Humphries as Director and Creative Strategist. Humphries will help extend DTV’s services for not-for-profit clients to embrace all forms of audio-visual communication from its original focus on DRTV.

Humphries previously worked at Burnett Associates and THINK Consulting, and is a founder member of the Institute of Direct Marketing, and a former Vice-Chair of the Institute of Fundraising.

Commenting on his appointment, he said: “Having worked on an ad hoc basis with DTV for a couple of years, I can see that they are way ahead of other agencies when it comes to DRTV in terms of the whole package from strategic planning, through media analysis, to the fine detail of call centre motivation and optimisation. It’s a compelling mix. Add to this the increasing client need for online content, and the potential is huge”.
