Temple St University Children's Hospital enjoys raffle boost

Temple St University Children’s Hospital in Ireland has recently increased its annual Christmas raffle income substantially after recruiting new raffle ticket sellers.

The ticket seller recruitment was handled by Anderson Manning Associates Charity Services Division (AMA Charity Services Ltd), which was also charged with increasing response rates.

AMA, working with the hospital and Niamh Sheeran Associates, devised the overall strategy and campaign development, from design to data selection, recruitment and response handling.

Fintan Bradley, Director of AMA Charity Services, said: “Temple St is such a well known and respected children’s hospital in Ireland that our operators were not only able significantly to increase take-up year-on-year but thoroughly enjoyed the experience.”

According to Bradley, the AMA team was so confident about its ability to deliver against Temple St’s expectations that the company promised to run the campaign free of charge if they didn’t succeed.”

They didn’t need to fulfil their pledge because the campaign secured nearly 10,000 collectors resulting in a net profit of £45,000.

Temple Street University Children’s Hospital is, incidentally, the nominated charity of Kerry McFadden, one of the participants in ITV’s current “I’m a Celebrity – get me out of here” show.
