Social Innovation Camp seeks ideas for socially beneficial web 2.0 tools

Howard Lake | 10 March 2008 | Blogs

If you’ve got an idea for a web tool that can change the world, why not submit it for inclusion at the upcoming Social Innovation Camp?
This event, run by The Young Foundation, brings web development experts together with social innovators and gives them 48 hours to solve a set of social problems using web 2.0 technology.
Ideas submitted so far include Barcode Wikipedia, a tool for sharing cycle routes in London and an idea for how the web could be used to improve the UK prison system.
Their Call for Ideas ends soon. Those selected for development at the Camp will be announced on 17 March 2008.
The Social Innovation Camp also has a Facebook group.
