New executive team at Occam

Marketing technology and business solutions specialist Occam has announced major changes to its executive team.

Occam, which works with organisations including RBS, Sainsbury’s, Age Concern, Amnesty International, and WWF will be headed up by Managing Director James Bagan. Bagan has 15 years’ commercial experience with leading suppliers of data integrity solutions including QAS and Harte-Hanks Inc. He also has a track record of success in private equity-backed businesses.

Ben McGinn joins as Finance Director. Three years ago, as Group Finance Director of specialist care provider Robinia Group, McGinn led a £35 million buyout in an executive team of four.

Scott Logie, who led Occam through a management buyout in 2004, becomes Strategy Director, with responsibility for driving Occam’s strategic development, and that of key clients.

Tom Jones is Operations Director and Ian Williamson is Executive Chairman. Both have over 20 years of experience in technology and private equity-backed businesses.

James Bagan, Managing Director, said: “Occam has been through a period of tremendous change in the past year. We have restructured internally and invested heavily in our technology and our infrastructure. By drawing on our existing team and bringing in the right people, we have assembled a first-class blend of experience and ability”.

Occam has also opened new London offices in Farringdon, adding to its presences in Bath and Edinburgh.

Occam’s products include ‘Prospector’, its prospect pool solutions and ‘Reciprocate’, the cooperative solution for the charity sector and “largest single source of charity data in the UK”.
