Guardian team runs in Second Life virtual marathon
Guardian gamesblog journalist Aleks Krotoski is to be team captain for The Guardian’s Second Life Relay for Life run, to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.
She’ll be dressing up as a giant panda and running a marathon backwards. To ensure it is a marathon effort – running 26 miles in a virtual world doesn’t sound too taxing – the marathon runners have to run for 24 hours!
She is encouraging readers to join in and take part in a relay team. She has even offered to donate 200 Linden Dollars (Second Life’s currency) to anyone who signs up to run with the gamesblog team.
Everyone who sponsors Krotoski will have their names listed on her panda suit for the duration of the event.
