Disabled children’s charity Whizz-Kidz has created an online game about running to try to encourage people to run the London Marathon and raise funds.

The new interactive game, due to launch soon, is being highlighted on the front page of the charity’s website.

Players will be able to upload a photo of themselves, choose their running kit, and then invite friends to run against online.

Players will be encouraged to register for the London Marathon 2008 and support the charity. The charity has golden bond places for runners for the event.

Players will also be able to promote the game virally to their friends to encourage them to join in.

Annabel Reynaud, marketing manager at Whizz-Kidz, told BrandRepublic: “In order to compete with the growing number of charities offering marathon places our marketing needed to be more innovative and stand out.”
