Easyfundraising, the “feel good shopping” site, has now raised over £1 million pounds for good causes through its partnership with John Lewis. The retailer is just one of over 3,100 shops and brands that have partnered with Easyfundraising.
The £1 million total from John Lewis donations has benefited over 31,000 charities and causes. To mark the milestone John Lewis tripled donations via its Easyfundraising link from 7 to 11 November.
Other retailers who donate a percentage of sales generated via Easyfundraising include Marks & Spencer, Debenhams, Argos, Wiggle, Apple, Expedia, eBay and Toys R Us.
Easyfundraising recently reported raising £627,971.29 for charities in the past quarter.

Black Friday

It is likely to raise more in this final quarter not just due to Christmas shopping but also Black Friday, “the busiest online shopping day of the year”, which this year takes place on Friday 25th November. Easyfundraising reports that £5 billion is expected to be spent across that weekend by Christmas shoppers in the UK.
It points out that if all of that shopping was carried out via easyfundraising, it would generate £20.6 million for its charity partners.
