New brand identity for CLIC Sargent & a £1.9m donation from People’s Postcode Lottery

CLIC Sargent has launched a new brand identity with a logo and message pledging the charity’s fight for ‘Young Lives Vs Cancer’.
According to the charity, it follows extensive consultation with young cancer patients and their families and represents a new strong voice for young cancer patients aged 0-24.
It was created with the help of Warwickshire design agency Chemical Code and moves from a largely single-colour visual language to a wider, more flexible identity. The launch was supported by celebrity photographer Richard Young, who photographed Trent Julicher, 9, and Bradley Gudger, 23 (main image) who have both been supported by the charity, wearing its new brand identity.
CLIC Sargent has also announced that it has received a £1.9m donation from players of the People’s Postcode Lottery as the result of three draws.
The total was raised in October and will help fund CLIC Sargent’s specialist teams of nurses, social care workers and play specialists.
Two draws were held on 8th October and a third on 15th, with another draw still to be held in November, with the charity receiving a minimum of 30% of every £10 subscription to these draws.
Rachel Kirby-Rider, director of income and engagement at CLIC Sargent, said:

“The vital funds raised by the People’s Postcode Lottery will make a huge difference by providing support to young cancer patients and their families when the doctor says ‘it’s cancer’.”

How to apply for People’s Postcode Lottery funding

Charities wishing to apply for funding from the People’s Postcode Lottery can apply directly to four of the charity trusts that distribute funds raised by the Lottery’s players. These are: Postcode Community Trust, which supports marginalised groups in obtaining skills and resources to make changes in their own communities, Postcode Local Trust, which funds charities and good causes that help communities enhance their natural environment in a way that benefits the wider community, Postcode Dream Trust, which helps charitable organisations deliver their dream project, and People’s Postcode Trust.
People’s Postcode Trust will be announcing details of its 2017 programme towards the end of the year, and is interested in applications focusing in the current areas of development:
