Philanthropy UK launches online directory

Philanthropy UK has launched The Philanthropy Directory as a guide to the wide range of charitable services and products available to UK donors – potential and current.
The guide aims to connect donors to the inforamtion and support they need to give effectively. It includes links to such organisations as Guidestar, New Philanthropy Capital, CAF and ShareGift, as well as possible charities people might want to givve to. Director of Philanthropy UK Susan Mackenzie said the resource aimed to be relevant to all donors.
We hope the whole spectrum of donors will use the site, she said.

Currently the resource has been marketed to Philanthropy UK’s newsletter subscribers, but Mackenzie said there would be a bigger programme in the new year when the current website has been upgraded. It will then be more interactive, she said. Donors will be able to refine searches for charities and services relevant to them rather than have to scroll through long lists.
