Howard Lake | 22 February 2006 | News

Action Against Hunger has announced that last year’s Restaurants Against Hunger Week (8-16 October) raised over £43,000 towards it work with malnourished children in the world’s poorest countries.

Restaurants Against Hunger is a year round campaign, involving a wide range of catering establishments countrywide. All paticipating businesses support the campaign throughout the year, with the flexibility to promote this support when suitable. Customers are then encouraged to make an optional donation when paying the bill.

Over 90 per cent of all money raised goes to support the organisation’s programmes overseas.
