The Evening Standard’s This is London has reported that the treasurer of the Bridlington branch of the RSPCA has raised £28,800 in a most unusual way. Instead of investing two legacy donations worth £30,000 in a savings account, she invested them in Barclays shares. Fortunately for her and the branch, the value of the shares went up.
