FundUK e-mail list loop – update

FundUK, the e-mail discussion list for fundraisers, suffered a repeating looped message this evening. Within half an hour 49 copies of the same message were sent to subscribers. Howard Lake, list manager of FundUK, has stopped the loop, and extends his apologies to all those who suffered this loss in service.
Subscribers have already received a message explaining what action has been and will be taken.
The message was the result of one subscriber who placed her e-mail package in automated “I’m on holiday” mode. This practice caused the last major problem on FundUK two years ago.
