M.A.D launches jewellery party fundraising service
M.A.D. (Make a Difference) Jewellery has launched a jewellery party service that is designed to help charities and local groups boost their community and corporate fundraising income.
The events can be run by community fundraisers or volunteers and have been developed to be “easy and fun to deliver”.
The events can be run in private homes, at workplaces or in community spaces. Guests are invited to browse a range of fashionable and affordable jewellery. If they wish to buy anything, all orders will be fulfilled by M.A.D. on the charity’s behalf.
M.A.D. will donate 100% of the retail margin on every piece of jewellery purchased. This is “typically up to 50% of the retail price”, according to the company. Beyond promoting the events to their supporters, charities do not have to make any cash investment in these events.
M.A.D.’s range includes products from jewellery brands such as Ulinx, J-Jaz, and Silver & Co, with other brands joining soon including Jo for Girls, Elements, Fred Bennett, and D for Diamond.
M.A.D. has produced a jewellery party pack, which includes a guide to running a jewellery party, electronic and printed advertising and invitations, order forms and thank you cards for guests and a selection of sample jewellery with display equipment. All of this is delivered to the party host’s door.
Suki Gallagher, Business Development Director at M.A.D., said: “Charities, especially those engaged in active community fundraising, love the inherent attractiveness as well as the simplicity of this idea.
“Jewellery parties are fun, can be hosted anywhere, and don’t cost the charity or the host anything to organise”.
M.A.D. has been developed by not-for-profit marketing specialists Sellcomms Ltd. The online store launched in May 2013 and offers a wide range of fashionable jewellery for men, women and children.
