UK faith-based organisations can now receive donated Microsoft products via CTXchange, following a change to Microsoft's eligibility criteria for its global donations programme.

They now join other UK charities in being able to request donations via CTXchange of more than 250 Microsoft products. They can acquire them at savings of between 94% and 96% off the retail price.

Products available include graphic design software, server and the latest Office suites.

Richard Craig, CEO of CTT, which runs the CTXchange software donation programme, welcomed Microsoft's new policy. "Faith-based organisations have a long tradition of community service and making important contributions to public life in the UK and internationally," he said.

Now, faith-based charities can request up to 50 licences for up to 10 Microsoft products and up to 5 server products over a two-year period.

CTXchange, part of a global partnership operated by Techsoup, enables charities and charitable housing associations to receive hardware and software products, donated by leading brands, including Microsoft, Norton, Cisco, Symantec and Adobe.
