Cursory glance at fundraising ads?
Bored with banner ads on Web sites? Comet Systems in New York has come up with the latest in Web advertising – the morphing cursor.
Every time your cursor moves over a particular graphic or text phrase, it changes into an advert or other sales message.
Early adopters include toy manufacturer Mattel who want your cursor to change into a Barbie doll head, and florists 1-800-FLOWERS who will turn your cursor into a tulip. Comet currently charges $1,500 a month for the service. Will they offer reduced fees to nonprofits willing to try out the programme? If your non-profit experiments with it, tell UK Fundraising about your experience.
