The CharityCard site has been entirely revamped and the result is most impressive. Clive Anderson still introduces the card, and is aided by some very fancy Web animations on the main page. Information is available for donors and charities on the value of using and accepting this tax-efficient debit card. Currently, about 1,640 charities accept the card from around 75,000 donors.
The announcement that secure CharityCard giving facilities are due later this month is very significant. Online giving to UK charities could take a major leap forward if these 1,640 charities can start receiving secure online CharityCard donations.
