Howard Lake | 30 August 2004 | News

BSkyB has chosen The Chicken Shed Theatre Company as its Make It Big charity partner, which should be worth at least £1 million to the charity over the next three years.

Mary Ward, co-founder and Artistic Director of The Chicken Shed Theatre Company, said: “This is a wonderful way for us to celebrate our 30th Anniversary, as for the first time we have a major long-term commitment from a commercial partner who shares and understands our passion to introduce more people to inclusive theatre. It is with great anticipation that we look forward to working with Sky – its staff and customers – on many ground breaking projects.”

James Murdoch, Chief Executive of BSkyB and a member of the selection panel, said: “Chicken Shed have a vision and passion for delivering inclusive entertainment, as we do at Sky. We are looking forward to working with everyone at Chicken Shed, learning from them and supporting them to ‘make it big.'”
