The Electoral Commission has begun publishing details of donations to political parties on its Web site. Gifts of £5,000 to headquarters or £1,000 from organisations and individuals must be declared under the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000.

During the General Election, details are required to be submitted weekly.
