20,000 laptops to Nottingham schoolchildren

The Local Education Authority in Nottingham is planning to distribute subsidised laptop computers to over 20,000 schoolchildren in order to bridge the “digital divide.” The scheme will be funded initially by the Government’s E-learning Foundation.
