Ealing Half Marathon’s future secured
RaceNation Events is partnering with the organisers of the Ealing Half Marathon to ensure it continues, after the event faced difficulties due to the pandemic.
The Ealing Half Marathon was founded as a London 2012 legacy event and is west London’s biggest run. Since 2012 tens of thousands of runners have taken part, raising over £2.5 million for charities.
Mass participation events company RaceNation Events, the event delivery arm of RaceNation, is partnering with EHM Legacy, a community interest company (CIC). The deal will help secure the future of not just of the Ealing Half Marathon but also its supporting events, the Ealing Mini Mile, Osterley Park 10K and the Ealing Mile.

As a CIC EHM Legacy has run the Ealing Half Marathon for the benefit of the community, granting surplus funds into local community events. The Half was voted the UK’s best half marathon three years in a row.
Ealing Half Marathon Founder, Kelvin Walker said:
“We created the Ealing Half Marathon to deliver the event day experience of the London Marathon, with the friendliness and community spirit of a parkrun. It has been a privilege to work with volunteers and the local community to build this London 2012 legacy event. Our new partnership with RaceNation Events will ensure our events keep running with community values firmly at their core.”
This year’s Ealing Half Marathon
This year’s Ealing Half Marathon will take place on Sunday 26th September 2021.
After that RaceNation Events will become the new event delivery operators from October. They will be responsible for all EHM Legacy events, and will share profits with the CIC. They will also take on employment of the small team, and the EHM Legacy Board members will continue as advisors and supporters of all events.
RaceNation Events launched in 2020 with the merger of Immortal Sport, the UK events company responsible for the Exmoor Triathlon Weekend, the Salisbury Half Marathon and Lemur Loop.
It has gone on to acquire the assets of Rough Runner, the game-show-inspired obstacle course race, famous for its Travelator and Total Wipeout simulated challenges.
Will Golder, CEO of RaceNation said:
“After a tough period for the mass participation industry, we are delighted to not only be looking forward to the return of events, but to be expanding our RaceNation Events portfolio with such a prestigious and well-regarded race series, while safeguarding its future. ”
