Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy offers funding for groups and Fellowship programme

Melanie May | 8 March 2017 | News

The Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy programme is offering funding to support networks, collaboration and group learning in fundraising across England in the arts and cultural sector.

The AFP programme will support a maximum of ten groups or networks to arrange their own fundraising training event, conference, seminar or introductory meeting. The funding is available to support some of the associated costs that arise from organising these events, including participants’ travel costs, venue hire, catering, fees for speakers/guests, or any other relevant expenditure.

The deadline for applications is 12 noon on 27th March, and an application form can be downloaded from the AFP site.

The AFP is also offering support for arts and cultural professionals at an early to middle stage in their career through its Professional Fundraising Fellowship programme. Applications for this have an earlier deadline of 12 noon on 13th March.

The free programme aims to help arts and cultural professionals based in England with at least three years’ relevant work experience to become confident, skilled, entrepreneurial fundraisers, either as development specialists or as specialists in other roles where fundraising is an important strand of their work.

Ten Fellows will begin their Fellowship year on the 1st June 2017 and will be able to continue within their current full-time employment and undertake the Fellowship as an exceptional Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunity, with the support of their employer.

The learning programme includes participating in the University of Leeds National Summer School in Arts Fundraising & Leadership in July 2017, and working towards achieving the University’s Postgraduate Certificate in Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy.

A recruitment pack can also be downloaded from the AFP site.
