JustGiving announced as 2017 Bath Half Marathon official online giving partner

JustGiving will be the Vitality Bath Half Marathon‘s official online giving partner next year, with Cancer Research UK announced as the lead charity. The event takes place on 12th March next year.
The event takes place on 12th March in 2017, and its official charity partners have also been announced. As well as Cancer Research UK as the Lead Charity for 2017, Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens is the official Family Fun Run Charity, while the official Local Charity is Dorothy House Hospice Care, and Laureus Good for Sport Foundation is the official charity of the Vitality Run Series.
This year’s half marathon saw runners raise over £2.2 million for over 130 different charities, and a record number of places are reserved for the official charities in 2017, which will be the 36th Bath Half Marathon to take place. In total, 15,000 places are available for the event.
Mel Taylor, Vitality Bath Half Marathon charity director, said:
“We were very impressed with the resources JustGiving has developed to help charities identify key messages and timings to incentivise fundraisers both to create their donation pages and to engage with their sponsors, and also with their range of analysis tools allowing charities to monitor their fundraiser activity during the run up to the event. “
