Wickes partnership raises £5m for Bloodwise

With the help of public support, Wickes has raised £5m for Bloodwise over the past decade.
During the ten-year national partnership, Wickes stores across the country held various fundraising events, most recently “Hop up Kilimanjaro” which saw colleagues complete 38,000 steps in-store on a Hop Up platform to represent the 38,000 people diagnosed with blood cancer each year.
Bloodwise – formerly Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research – became Wickes’s first-ever national charity partner in 2006, initially for an 18-month period.
Simon King, managing director of Wickes, said:

“Our colleagues have immersed themselves in fundraising through countless ways, such as the Bloodwise London to Paris cycle challenge, numerous cake sales in store and the “Hop Up” challenge last year. The passion and commitment has been amazing.”
