Sainsbury’s launches Local Charity Partner 2016/17

Sainsbury’s has launched its search for its next Local Charity Partners for 2016-2017.
Stores have each selected a Local Charity of the Year to partner with since 2009 and have so far raised over £11 million. Each store has nominated a longlist of local charities that benefit their own local community, and these were invited in to present to the store before each store decided on its final shortlist of up to three local charities.
Stores have now announced their three shortlisted charities for customers to vote for, both in-store and online through the Sainsbury’s site. Once voting is over, the winning charity for each store will be announced.
Store manager, Jason Hill, from Sainsbury’s Kempshott, which has shortlisted The Pink Place, Basingstoke Voluntary Action, and The Life Right Foundation said:

“It’s always an exciting time of the year for our colleagues and, the local community. The voting unit at the store is already proving very popular.”
