United Way UK seeks applications for new grants

United Way UK is launching two new grants to help local communities and is inviting applications.
The Community Impact grant aims to address the educational needs of disadvantaged children and young people, specifically in the areas of early childhood development, literacy and numeracy skills or employability. United Way UK will award three Community Impact Grants of £10,000 each.
The Give Local grants aim to support community based, local organisations working in United Way UK’s priority issue areas of education, income and health. The organisation is particularly interested in those addressing the needs of disadvantaged people. There will be 28 Give Local Grants of £1,000 each.
The deadline for applications is 25th April 2016, and grant recipients will be announced by mid-May online. More information and an application form for both can be found online on the United Way UK site.
