The National Funding Scheme’s DONATE fundraising platform now includes a text raffle service, available across all major mobile networks.

Charities can use the tool to invite donors, event attendees and the public to make a text donation of £5, £10, £15 or £20 in order to have their mobile number entered into a raffle draw.
At an agreed moment, DONATE’s system will automatically generate the winning mobile number or numbers.
The text-raffle tool means that charities won’t have to handle paper tickets, cash and unreadable entries. Participants can also be confident that they will be alerted immediately by text if they have won.
Tim Brocklehurst of Flannels for Heroes, which is raising funds for Walking with the Wounded and Combat Stress, said:

“DONATE’s text raffle service is efficient and brilliantly simple enabling anyone with a mobile phone to participate. Doing away with scraps of paper, cash and unreadable numbers/addresses is just the sort of innovation the charity sector needs.”

The National Funding Scheme‘s DONATE offers a suite of tools and data capture services to help maximise fundraising campaigns.
