The appointment was made ahead of the planned merger between the Institute of Fundraising and the Public Fundraising Association, which is scheduled to take place at the end of July. Will’s appointment is intended to help reflect the expertise of fundraising agencies on the Institute’s Board.
Dominic Will said:

“This is an exciting time for the Institute with the forthcoming merger with the PFRA, but also a challenging time for the wider fundraising community as we move into a new regulatory environment. I’m looking forward to sharing my experience to help the IoF in championing best practice and compliance, in further developing the profession of fundraising, and in giving voice to the fantastic work of fundraisers across the country.”

Richard Taylor, Chair of the Institute of Fundraising, welcomed his appointment to the Board, saying:

“Agency partners play an important part in the fundraising environment and I am glad that Dominic will bring this perspective to the Board as we work to lead best practice across the entire fundraising sector.”

The Institute will create three new sub-committees of the Board of Trustees, reflecting Door-to-Door Fundraising; Street and Private Site Fundraising; and Telephone Compliance.
