Bowie tribute concert live stream to raise funds for charity

Music fans are being given the opportunity to access a sold-out David Bowie tribute concert today by donating to charity.
Blondie, the Pixies, and Mumford & Sons are amongst a number of artists that are playing at New York’s Radio City Music Hall today in tribute to David Bowie, who passed away in January. The sold-out celebration event will feature up to 18 artists with a set-list of classic Bowie songs with the live stream will be accessible for a donation.
The concert, The Music of David Bowie, is the 12th event in Michael Dorf’s “music of” series, which raises funds for music education programmes serving underprivileged children. It will be streamed live through the Melodic Caring Project, a non-profit organisation that streams live concert events to children in their hospital rooms, with Skype as global promotion partner.
Music fans worldwide can access the live stream at by making a minimum donation of $20 or equivalent on www.musicofdavidbowie.com http://musicofdavidbowie.com/ site in any of 86 currencies through global donation platform Ammado. Donations will be divided across nine charities, all of which work with children through music and include Sonic Arts for All, Little Kids Rock, and Ford Music & Art.
