New campaign focus for CRUK’s Britain’s Biggest Breakfast

Cancer Research UK has launched its 2016 Britain’s Biggest Breakfast fundraising event with a new campaign focus for 2016.
This year, the campaign around the event focuses on a single fundraising day that unites the nation. It will feature new advertising creative from Karmarama that will appear across social media from this month along with a radio partnership with Bauer. The campaign will also be supported by social and PR created by Cancer Research UK’s in-house team.
The charity’s primary focus for the event had previously been on its volunteers fundraising in their local community throughout the month of March.

Britain’s Biggest Breakfast asks the public to hold a breakfast on Friday 11th March to raise money for research. People can sign up on Cancer Research UK’s site to hold a breakfast with friends and family at work or home, or donate to attend someone else’s breakfast. The campaign also encourages people to try some different and healthy breakfast options.
Anthony Newman, director of brand, marketing and communications at Cancer Research UK said:

“Britain’s Biggest Breakfast is an easy and accessible way for people to support our life-saving research. We want to build on the success we’ve previously had with Britain’s Biggest Breakfast to make it bigger and better than ever before, The fun new creative is perfect for the campaign’s refresh in 2016.”
