Medicash pledges a decade of support to charity

The Medicash Charitable Trust has announced that it will support local Liverpool-based children’s charity KIND for the next ten years.

A long-term supporter of the charity, the Trust has signed up to its new Investor Programme, which aims to encourage existing and new donors to contribute £1000 a year for 10 years. As a member of the programme, the Trust will give an annual donation to fund the charity’s Christmas food hampers that help local families in need over the festive period. In 2015, the Trust’s £3,000 donation funded 50 large family Christmas hampers.

KIND is inviting more organisations to sign up to providing the charity with long-term support through its Investor Programme, which it launched last year, its 40th birthday, to help it achieve its aim of increasing sustainability. It is hoping to recruit 300+ members ranging across businesses, individuals, and community groups.

Medicash chief executive, Sue Weir said:

“We are delighted to be supporting KIND. The organisation does invaluable work. The Investor Programme is a way of allowing KIND to deliver sustainable activity over the next decade and together we are urging the business community to come on board and back this important initiative so as many families as possible can benefit.”
