Small Charity Week offers small charities six opportunities to fundraise
Small Charity Week is this year offering small charities six opportunities in which they can raise funds for themselves in the form of digital and community fundraising initiatives. All of them are free to take part in.
Small charities are defined by the Week’s organiser, the FSI, as charities with an annual turnover of under £1.5 million.
Small Charity Week , now in its sixth year, takes place from 15 – 20 June 2015. Some of the fundraising opportunities, however, have deadlines before then.
Six ways to fundraise in Small Charity Week
1. The Small Charity Week eBay Auction with a matched funding pot of £2,000
2. The eBay Give@Checkout Competition where a small charity’s fundraising message will be featured on eBay throughout the week.
3. Two toolkits for small charities to run their own fundraising events
4. Guidance for small charities on how they can secure their own fundraising licence
6. IoF Scotland’s Sole Fundraiser Event
Pauline Broomhead, CEO of the FSI, the charity behind Small Charity Week said
“We started Small Charity Week in 2010 as a series of activities and initiatives to support and raise awareness of the hundreds and thousands of small charities that, every day, make a huge difference to vulnerable communities right across the UK and the rest of the world. I am delighted that it has grown to offer a range of different free fundraising initiatives to support small charities to fundraise for themselves”.
