Guardian seeks charity trailblazer of the year
The Guardian’s Voluntary Sector Network is inviting nominations for the Charity Trailblazer of the Year, a new accolade to highlight the best charity leaders and maverick achievers.
They are hoping to receive nominations not only of successful senior staff like chief executives and directors. They want to hear about any kind of charity leader – whether a volunteer manager, a charity shop manager, or a digital team leader.
They are looking in particular for people who have in the past 12 months “demonstrated great leadership, encouraged innovation within their charity and inspired others”.
Five nominees will be selected by judges, and these will then be put to a public vote to determine the winner.
The prize
The winner of the public vote will receive an iPad Air 2, a breakfast at the Guardian’s offices in London with the Guardian Voluntary Sector team, and a day of business mentoring support and training with Zurich Insurance in London.
Nominations to the inaugural Charity Trailblazer of the Year close at 23:59 on Sunday 15 February 2015.
