Staff at travel company TUI UK & Ireland raised £1.25 million last year for charities. This was the most raised in one year by staff at the company, parent company of holiday brands Thomson and First Choice.
2014 also marked 25 years of partnership with the Family Holiday Association, which benefited from the fundraising.

Thomson Airways

Staff at Thomson Airways raised funds by donating money from the sale of scratch cards and collecting customers’ loose change on return flights. Money raised was donated to Family Holiday Association, Born Free Foundation, and local charities.
A percentage of sales on board of Thirsty Planet bottled water were also donated to the clean water charity Pump Aid.

Thomson Cruises

Fundraising also took place aboard Thomson Cruises. For the first time last year, one of its cruise ships partnered with Sail4Cancer, a charity that provides water-based respite days and holidays for families affected by cancer.

Staff at holiday destinations also took part in charity events all over the world, including sponsored walks, skydives and a fortnightly ‘Splashathon’. These raised funds for the Family Holiday Association, NSPCC, Tommy’s and local charities.
