Institute of Fundraising students benefit from NUS Extra Card

Howard Lake | 17 October 2014 | News

Students studying for qualifications through the Institute of Fundraising’s Academy can benefit from a range of discounts on goods and services if they apply for a National Union of Students (NUS) Extra Card.
The card offers eligible students a wide range of discounts from a number of high street retailers together with leisure and travel offers. To be eligible students need to hold Institute of Fundraising individual membership and to be currently enrolled on the Introductory Certificate in Fundraising, Certificate in Fundraising, Diploma in Fundraising, or International Advanced Diploma in Fundraising. They will also need to provide evidence of their student status in the form of their IoF student number, a recent photo to upload, and a current credit or debit card.
IoF students can acquire the NUS Extra Card at the discounted rate of £10 for 13 months. The standard rate is £12 for a year.
Glenys Garth-Thornton, Head of Professional Development at the IoF, said:

“The IoF is delighted to be offering this benefit to all its qualification students for the first time. We are committed to supporting our students with their professional development and trust this new member benefit can assist with their studies and also help them out in their everyday lives.”
