Campaigneurs offers matchmaking service for charities and businesses
Campaigneurs is a new online platform designed to help charities and nonprofits around the world find and develop partnerships with relevant, responsible business partners, and vice versa.
It helps matchmaking businesses to charities based on the criteria they specify about themselves and the kind of partnership they are looking for. It is designed to help reduce the time and money spent by charities in searching for corporate funding and support.
The site invites both companies and charities to sign up and submit their profiles. It is not just about fundraising partnerships: corporates might be more interested in sharing professional services, staff time and skills, or board member expertise.
Nor does it simply provide the searching, filtering and matching service. Campaigneurs say that they will also offer advice for “successful types of collaborations such as campaigns, pop up projects and many more”.
The platform was developed by Janet Alexandersson in response to the lack of funding available for humanitarian aid in the Middle East. Alexandersson, CEO, Campaigneurs, said:
“This year I saw a news report about a hospital in Syria being forced to close due to lack of financial funding. That is why I created Campaigneurs, to place charities in direct contact with businesses willing to fill that financial gap”.
The startup began in a coffee shop in Gothenberg, Sweden. Alexandersson says that it offers a win-win situation for both parties:

“Businesses get to support their communities and fulfil their corporate social responsibility and charities gain a financial shortcut”.
The first 50 organisations signing up with Campaigneurs will enjoy premium access to the platform, including one year membership and online support. Other pricing details have yet to be announced.
