Five charities shortlisted to partner Sky

Sky has shortlisted five charities from a total of 167 in its search for its next major charity partner.

The five charities – Campaign for Learning, Global Action Plan, I CAN, WWF and Zoological Society of London – were selected after they had come up with ideas for a short film designed to highlight their work.

Sky’s production team will now work with each of the five to turn their ideas into reality. Films will be aired on Sky in November and the company is launching a campaign to encourage employees and customers to vote for their favourite entries via the red button service or online. The winning charity will be announced in the new year.

Sky’s director of responsibility and reputation Ben Stimson said: There’s been a huge level of interest from charities interested in workingwith us to engage and inspire positive action. The quality and diversity of proposals has been outstanding and we’re delighted to be working with such a strong shortlist as we move to the next phase of our search.
