After Adoption tries to make fundraising a big picnic

Howard Lake | 30 June 2014 | News

Adoption support charity After Adoption will this year run a week-long fundraising event called The Big Picnic. It is inviting businesses, schools, community groups and individuals to pack a picnic hamper and invite friends and family between 4 and 13 July.

The charity hopes to encourage as many fundraising picnics as possible during the week – at work, school or home – with guests buying tickets to attend or organisers collecting donations on the day. The charity is encouraging supporters to be creative and host a British, vintage or teddy-bear themed picnic.

“Wherever you plan to picnic, our fundraising pack is filled with inspiration to help make your event a great success and make a huge difference to those affected by adoption.

“People are picnicking in the park or their garden and we’ve even got one group picnicking up a mountain!  Some groups are planning for traditional British Summer weather and organising an indoor picnic.”
