Four charity placements on offer to experienced arts fundraisers

Howard Lake | 14 April 2014 | News

Four experienced arts fundraisers in England are being given the opportunity to learn from major UK charities through placements. The placements at the British Heart Foundation, The Science Museum, WaterAid and World Vision begin in May/June 2014 and run for four weeks.
The placements are being offered by the Arts Fundraising & Philanthropy Programme in partnership with The Management Centre. The aim is to give experienced arts fundraisers a wider knowledge and understanding of the charity sector.

Eligibility for placements

To be eligible for these places, people must have a minimum of three years experience of fundraising in the arts, where fundraising is an important part of their current role. The approval of a line manager is required. Applicants must also be prepared to share their learning with the wider arts sector.
You do not have to be currently permanently employed within an organisation to be eligible to apply. However, in such situations, applicants must be prepared to fund their time on the placement themselves.
The deadline for applications is 22 April at 5pm. All applicants will hear whether they have been successful or not by 25 April.
You can find out more about the four charities.
