Institute seeks 70 volunteers for National Convention 2014

The Institute of Fundraising is looking for 70 fundraisers to volunteer to help it run its three-day National Convention in July in London.
In a reminder email to members today, Katie Johnson, Head of Events at the Institute, said that

“Volunteering at Convention is fun, rewarding and a great way to network and gain industry contacts”.

It is of course also hard work, but in return you receive free entry to all three days of Convention, together with breakfast and lunch. There is also shared accommodation where necessary. As well as gaining experience in team work and event management, volunteers also get to attend selected sessions at Convention.
Volunteers’ tasks include speaker liaison, registration, managing sessions, promoting membership, assisting delegates and much more.
Applications to be a Convention volunteer close on 7 April 2014.
The Institute is particularly keen to receive applications from those working for charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises with a total organisational annual turnover of £500,000 or less and others who might not otherwise be able to attend.
