Ireland Funds opens two grant rounds

The Ireland Funds has announced two funding rounds for 2014.
The small grants round will provide funding up to €10,000 to organisations working in the programme areas of arts & culture, education, community development or peace and reconciliation.
The Ireland Funds say that the small grants round is primarily for specific projects, small organisations, pilot initiatives and organisations that have not received substantial funding from The Ireland Funds.
Applications can be made by organisations working anywhere in Ireland, north or south, and must be submitted by 28thFebruary. The application form can be accessed and submitted online at the Ireland Funds’ website.
In a departure from previous funding rounds, the Ireland Funds has also launched a Flagship Investment Grant Round for organisations with a turnover of over €250,000. The Flagship Investment Grant Round will award grants between €25,000-€75,000 to organisations that can demonstrate signifcant impact in their area of work.
The Ireland Funds say that organisations based in the Republic of Ireland should be signed up to the Fundraising Code of Practice (if applicable) and  show achievement or progress towards full compliance with the Governance Code. Applicants based in Northern Ireland are expected to be in the process of registering with the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland.
Applications for the Flagship programme open on 1 April with a deadline of 30 April 2014.
