International grant programme now open from Lloyds TSB Foundation for Northern Ireland

Howard Lake | 8 August 2012 | News

Lloyds TSB Foundation for Northern Ireland has reopened their International Grant Programme for 2012.
Applications are welcome from organisations registered as charities in Northern Ireland who carry out work within disadvantaged communities overseas.
The Foundation will give priority to:
• Costs associated with volunteering programmes that focus particularly on the development and transfer of skills to poor entities and communities overseas
• Sustainable indigenous projects overseas that enhance local, social and economic autonomy and projects encouraging social enterprise and entrepreneurism
• Projects which help build the capacity of civil society representative organisations overseas that are working in areas of local basic social and economic rights.
Organisations must choose which level of grant to apply for. Organisations which are small and provide localised support should apply for a small grant for a specific project, up to the level of £5,000 for one year.
Organisations undertaking larger projects and where there is a wider benefit may apply for grants of up to £10,000 for one year.
Proposals should be for work in poor communities overseas which are supported by organisations with a significant presence in Northern Ireland.
Application packs and ./guidance on eligibility can be obtained by telephoning the Foundation on 028 9032 3000.
The closing date for applications is 17.00 on 31 August 2012.
