Micah Richards to donate £20k to charities suggested on Twitter
Manchester City footballer Micah Richards has pledged to donate £20,000 to charity and is asking his Twitter followers for suggestions for appropriate recipients.
The defender made the offer after receiving supportive messages from fans after he left the pitch due to an injury during the Champions League match in Bayern Munich on Tuesday. He only managed to play for 16 minutes.
In a tweet, Richards subsequently offered to give “20k of my own money to anyone who convinces me their charity needs it most”.
