Neil Townend, MD of Moonlighting, hopes the challenge will raise over £100,000.
He said: "The Grad Challenge aims to give graduates the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and gain valuable experience in a ‘real-life’ environment and ever competitive job market – all whilst raising funds for good causes. It’s a bit like the event version of The Apprentice – but the projects will be real and accountable."
Participants will usually undertake the fundraising outside of normal office hours, but they will receive support from a mentor from the event industry.
The competition will conclude in summer 2014 with an awards dinner event in London in June, where the best acievements will be recognised and the winners announced.
Applications are invited from companies operating a graduate or apprentice scheme within their organisation. Entries cost £1,450 +VAT per team, "covering the costs for the launch party, the awards dinner and the winners' prize".
Townend added: "every penny of the team profits raised will go directly to the registered charities chosen by the teams".
