Dublin Bus grant applications open

Dublin Bus Community Spirit Awards, which support voluntary groups across the greater Dublin area, are now open for applications.

This is the ninth year of the awards, during which Dublin Bus has so far made grants to over 1,300 voluntary groups. The grants are funded from long-term unclaimed change receipts.

Grants of €5,000, €2,000, and €1,000 are available.

Eligibility for Community Spirit Awards

Any voluntary group that is located within the Dublin Bus network can apply for funding. The network extends as far as Newcastle, Co. Wicklow, Balbriggan in north County Dublin, Dunboyne in Co. Meath and Maynooth in Co. Kildare.

Groups must work in one or more of the following areas:

1. Children and Youth
2. Sport
3. People with Disabilities
4. Older People
5. Environment and Local Community
6. Education e.g. alcohol, drugs, literacy or health

Application forms can be downloaded from the Dublin Bus website and should be returned by 7 June 2013 at 5pm.
