Breast Cancer Campaign to air its first TV ad

Howard Lake | 21 October 2011 | News

The research charity Breast Cancer Campaign will use TV advertising for the first time during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, seeking a £3 a month regular donation by direct debit.
The 30 second advert was created by Tristar Television and will be aired twice a day on ITV3 between 24 and 31 October. It features Geraldine Lowe from Reading, who is a breast cancer survivor and supporter of the charity. She was treated for breast cancer after losing her twin sister, Vicky, to the disease in 2006.
Director of Supporter Relations and Fundraising, Liz Monks, said: “Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK, with around 48,000 people diagnosed each year, and October is a key time for our fundraising, as well as our education and awareness activities. The advert will demonstrate the charity’s focus on research and introduce potential new supporters to the charity.”
