Women in Philanthropy event to be held in May
Following two successful seminars on women and philanthropy in 2010, the Community Foundation for Ireland will be running a breakfast seminar in Dublin on May 31st which will hear from a number of high profile philanthropists and leaders in women’s issues.
The women’s seminars began last year when the Community Foundation for Ireland set up The Women’s Fund, Ireland’s first dedicated fund for women’s causes. The May event will also feature stories from a number of recipients of Women’s Fund grants.
Confirmed speakers include:
- Marcelle Speller: Philanthropist and Channel 4 Secret Millionaire, Maya Prabhu, Head of UK Philanthropy at Coutts & Co, she advises high net worth clients on philanthropy options
- Norma Smurfit, Chair, First Step and prominent charity fundraiser
- Eina McHugh, Chief Executive of The Ark
- Jane Williams, Director of SIA Group
