Institute of Fundraising seeks new trustees

The Institute of Fundraising is seeking applications from members to its board of trustees.
Bruce Leeke, Company Secretary and Acting Chief Executive, emailed members today requesting: “If you have strong and clear ideas about how your profession should be developed, why not put yourself forward to become a trustee of the Institute of Fundraising?”
Given the current makeup of the trustee board, the trustees have acknowledged that its ethnic diversity could be improved, and they would also particularly welcome nominations from professionally qualified people in specialist areas such as law and accountancy, from those with experience of professional bodies, and those with experience of small to medium charities.
Paul Amadi has come to the end of his term of office as a trustee, and Gerry Beldon and Stephen Pidgeon have come to the end of their first three-year term of office and will be seeking re-election. These three vacancies are open to any member from Northern Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales.
There are separate and additional elections taking place in Scotland and Wales this year for a dedicated national trustee to succeed to Fiona Duncan and Martin Price respectively.
Nominations for these posts are open until 27 May 2011.
